Scripture:

“He is the one you praise; he is your God, who performed for you those great and awesome wonders you saw with your own eyes.”
— Deuteronomy 10:21 (NIV)

Reflection

There are moments in life when we forget how far God has already brought us. We become so focused on what we need that we overlook what He’s already done. But Moses’ words remind us to pause, look back, and remember: He is the One you praise.

Israel had seen God move in power, seas parted, manna fell, enemies were defeated, promises fulfilled. They had witnessed His wonders with their own eyes. Yet, even after all that, they sometimes doubted. Sound familiar?

We’ve all been there, praying, waiting, wondering if God will come through this time. But the truth is, the same God who performed miracles in the wilderness still performs them today. Maybe not always in parted seas or pillars of fire, but in ways just as powerful:

  • A broken heart slowly healing.
  • A door opening when hope seemed gone.
  • A peace that settles when logic says it shouldn’t.

When we remember His past faithfulness, our present fears lose their grip. Praise becomes our posture, not because everything is perfect, but because He is.

Every sunrise, every answered prayer, every quiet mercy, these are modern-day wonders from the same unchanging God. And when we praise Him for what we’ve already seen, we open our hearts to believe for what He’s still going to do.

Prayer

Father, You are the God of wonders — the same yesterday, today, and forever. Remind me of the miracles You’ve already done in my life. Help me to praise You not just for what I hope to see, but for what I’ve already witnessed. May my gratitude become my worship, and my worship become my strength.
Amen.

Faith Challenge

Take a few minutes today to write down three “wonders” God has done for you — big or small.
Then thank Him out loud for each one.
Let praise be your reminder: He still performs wonders.
