Mother’s Day hits differently when your mother is already resting in the arms of Jesus.

There are hugs you wish you could hold onto a little longer. Conversations you wish had lasted just a few more minutes. Moments that seemed ordinary then, but now feel priceless.

If your mother is still here, cherish her.

Call her. Sit with her. Listen to her stories, even the ones you’ve heard a hundred times before. One day, you will realize those moments were never small at all.

Life moves quickly, and we often believe there will always be more time. More holidays. More visits. More chances to say “I love you.”

But time is a gift, not a promise.

Today, my heart misses my mother deeply, but I find peace knowing she is with Jesus. And while grief never fully leaves us, love never does either.

So this Mother’s Day, hold your mother close if you can. Honor her while she can still hear your voice. Cherish the little moments that become the memories you carry forever.

Because one day, those memories will mean more than words can ever express.

Happy Mother’s Day to every mother, every grieving heart, and every family holding tightly to love today.
